What data is needed to register a bakery?
Accounting begins with units of measurement, recipes and primary operations. Flour is bought in kilograms, the recipe can be stored in grams, and the finished product is sold individually. If the recalculation is not defined, the balances will begin to diverge even with the correct interface. Baking losses and waste also need to be reported separately.
Before development, we check what is already being done in the cash register, accounting and warehouse program. If your existing solution covers manufacturing, an additional module or customization may make more sense than a new ERP. You need your own system when important processes do not fit into the ready-made scheme: several points, orders for the next day, your own technical maps or non-standard logistics.
From technical sheet to batch release
- The technologist approves the recipe with version, output and standard losses.
- The person in charge plans production based on orders and remaining finished products.
- The system calculates the need for raw materials and shows shortages.
- Production records actual output and deviations from plan.
- Raw materials are written off according to an agreed rule; Rejection and return have separate grounds.
- The cost of the batch is calculated based on actual initial data.
What will happen in the system
The first version may include nomenclature, technical sheets, receipt of raw materials, release, write-offs and a report on balances. For several bakeries, movements between points and access rights to warehouses are added. We introduce purchases, demand forecasts and shift calculations after the basic operations have become reliable.
The cash register shows sales, but does not replace full production accounting. The accounting system solves its problems; The integration format and source of each figure will be agreed upon in advance. In a report, you cannot add up cash revenue and the cost of raw materials as if they were the same movement.
Control before implementation
- Income in kilograms is correctly used by a recipe in grams.
- Reformulation changes do not retroactively recalculate old batches.
- The planned output differs from the actual output, and the deviation is reflected in the report.
- The lack of raw materials does not disappear due to an unnoticeable negative balance.
- Returns, rejects and transfers have a log of the author and time.
- Parallel transactions do not charge the same batch twice.
Demo, cost and preparation
Look bakery accounting demo: This is a fictional example where you can go through release planning and warehouse operations. It helps to coordinate the interface; We check the integration and accuracy of your company’s calculations separately using anonymized data.
Direction ERP and operations starts Quote on request. For the assessment, prepare one technical sheet, an example of the arrival of raw materials, a list of warehouses and a description of the release. After the prototype, we will fix the composition of the first version, the cost and procedure for transferring data.
